If you find an error in your inventory numbers, you can create an inventory adjustment and/or cost adjustment to correct the issue. The Inventory Adjustments screen allows the user to enter adjustments for the cost and quantity for a selected part in addition to editing lot information. The Inventory Adjustments screen can be accessed by Core - Inventory - Adjustments. This screen provides a summary of all the pending inventory adjustments waiting to be posted. The general process is to add an adjustment and post it when ready with the Post button at the bottom of the screen.
To create a new adjustment, press the green plus icon in this screen, and fill in the information in the Inventory Adjustments dialog, including the adjustment action (Adjust Quantity or Adjust Cost), category and part, and new quantity or cost amount.

Inventory Serialized Adjustments
Serialized inventory adjustments are similar to inventory adjustments, but they allow you to adjust the quantity or cost of serialized cases, and the quantity for their issue parts. Add serialized adjustments using Core - Inventory - Inventory Serialized Adjustments. The actions below are available.
- Add New - Used to add a new serialized item. Check "Pull from inventory" if the quantity is to be pulled from existing inventory, otherwise the new case will not change the quantity on hand of the issue part.
-
- Add to Existing - Used to increase the qty of issue parts within an existing case.
- Adjust cost - Used to change the cost of the serialized item/case.
- Remove From Existing - Used to remove some of the items from a serialized case. This is sometimes called breaking open a case, and releases issues parts into inventory.
- Qty To Remove – Quantity to remove from the case.
- Add to inventory – Check if quantity is to be added to the quantity on hand for the issue part. If unchecked, the issue part’s quantity on hand will not be affected.
- Qty To Remove – Quantity to remove from the case.
- Remove Existing - Used to remove a serialized item from the system.
