Feature: Ability to set up a dealer in WEB using a ‘Quick Customer’ without adding their customers.
Why: Enables easy Web access for new dealers by auto-creating a generic customer for quote creation, without requiring customer setup.
How:
Creating quick quote customers is now controlled via a Parameter in WEB Admin: WebCenterEnableQuickQuoteCustomers. Ensure this parameter exists and is set to 1.
- Login to WEB as a new dealer.
- Create a quote, with no active dealer’s customers configured.
- All information defaults to blank, except Metric/Imperial and pricing method. Metric/Imperial follows the parent customer’s setting, while pricing method is set via a WEB ADMIN parameter.
Recent Feature Update: Before version 18.5, the Quick Customer name was [Site Name] only. In version 18.5, it was updated to use [Customer Name] – [Site Name], with a new parameter added to enable or disable this feature.
