The Order Maintenance screen is limited to a maximum of 365 Days Back to prevent crashes caused by database query timeouts. To bypass this limitation when necessary, consider the methods below:
Method 1 - Create a custom filter in Order Maintenance
This is the more permanent and re-usable solution.
- In Core, navigate to Orders > Order Maintenance.
- In the top-left, select Advanced Filters from the dropdown.
- Click the [...] button next to the filter dropdown to enter the custom filter creation box.
- Right-click on {Custom} and select Save As to create your new filter. Give it a name.
- Right-click the new filter you created and click Edit.
- Set the conditions of the custom filter to "Order Date Less Than 3/19/2024" or a date that is 1 year in the past. This filters to orders whose order date is earlier than 1 year ago. You can add any other filter conditions you like.
- Select your new filter in Order Maintenance, select the order(s) you want to close, and click the Close button at the bottom of the screen.
Method 2 - Change the order date
This is the easiest way to work around the problem if you rarely run into it and you don't need the exact order date for record keeping purposes.
- In Order Entry, update the Order Date of the order to a newer date that is less than 365 days ago so it will appear in Order Maintenance.
- Select the Order in Order Maintenance and click Close at the bottom of the screen.
